Rep Tajudeen Adefisoye, who is the
member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency and
the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Army has paid a courtesy visit to the 32 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army Super Camp, Okitipupa.

Adefisoye visited the Super Camp on Sunday, November 17 and he was received by the Brigadier General of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure, Brigadier General Zakeri
Abubakar and other officers of Nigerian Army as well as that of other sister security agencies. The Commander showed Adefisoye round the camp and explained to him the strategic security importance of the camp.

Brigadier Abubakar explains that the camp is though a military barrack, but also houses the police and other paramilitary agencies like
DSS, Immigration, NDLEA and the Civil Defence. The Brigade Commander further underscores the importance of the camp as being absolutely necessary for curbing crimes and criminality in the axis.

Adefisoye, who is obviously impressed with the performance of Brigadier General Abubakar, commends Brigadier Commander for doing a great job by ensuring that the camp is well maintained and kept in very good condition. He also showers praises on the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Burutai for making fund regularly available for activities of the Super Camp and for deploying a highly competent officer to oversee the camp’s activities.

The lawmaker particularly commends the Brigade Commander for doing a great job in his determined efforts to curb crime and criminality in the Sunshine State.

Adefisoye however promises to work tirelessly for the improvement of soldiers’ welfare and to foster robust relationship between the military and civilian populace.

He also assures that the need to give preference to improved welfare of soldiers deserved being impressed on other members of the House on Army Committee.

“I am most impressed with the functional facilities that are available in the Super Camp, particularly the helipad. The Brigade Commander also deserves commendation for humanitarian services being rendered by the military to residents of the host communities. Provision of potable water, distribution of sports wears and computers to students in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo state by the military are undoubtedly deserving of commendation”.

Meanwhile, Adefisoye commends traditional rulers of the host communities for agreeing on and supporting community policing. He also showers praises on the Brigade Commander of 32 Artillery for his great efforts in Ondo State. He further describes the ongoing Operation Crocodile Smile IV as a non-kinetic approach in military operations.

“Men and officers of Nigerian Army and the operatives of sister security agencies located in Ondo state, with particular emphasis on those in the riverine areas of the state are appreciated for the success recorded thus far for their efforts in combating criminality in the state and in the on going Operation Crocodile Smile IV”.

Brigadier Abubakar, in his remarks informs that the ongoing clearance activities of Operation Crocodile Smile IV has been yielding desired results in Ondo State and across the country.

The Brigade Commander also encourages the general public and people of the host communities in particular to take advantage of the hot lines provided by the Nigerian Army. He urges the people to avail the military with useful information since information is very crucial to the attainment of success in the ongoing clearance operation.
