Troops of the Operation Accord have killed three bandits during an operation at the Yar Tasha village in Katsina State. Major General John Enenche, Coordinator, Defence Media Operations in a press statement in Abuja on Monday said 3 AK 47 rifles were recovered during the operation while other bandits escaped with various degrees of gunshot wounds. According to Gen Enenche, the army also arrested 10 suspected bandits migrating with rustled livestock at Natsinta and Dawanna villages in Jibia Local Government Area along Katsina-Jibia road. The Suspects were arrested with 88 cows and an unconfirmed number of sheep. The suspects are currently in custody undergoing further investigation, the statement added. While commending the gallant troops for their professionalism, the Military High Command encourages them to intensify the onslaught against the criminal elements in the country, the statement added.
