Hon. Adefisoye, @SmallAlhaji_ Represents National Assembly At The Launching of Military Hardwares

The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Army, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye joined other dignitaries at the Science and Technology Trade Fair, Abuja on Wednesday for the launching of military hardwares.

Adefisoye attended the event as one of the representatives of the National Assembly. It was an avenue to showcase machines that were manufactured by officers of the Nigeria Army, in conjunction with the Science and Technology Department of the Army.

Some machines showcased at the
occasion include combat machines, tractors, drilling machines, armoured personnel carrier and 10kv fuel less generator.

Present at the Science and Technology Trade Fair alongside Hon. Adefisoye were the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonaya Onu, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Burutai, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe, House Committee Chairman on Army, Hon. Abdulrasak Namdas, while the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu was ably represented at the occasion.

It was however made known that all the manufactured machines were solely funded by the personnel unit of Nigeria Army with approval of the office of the Chief of Army Staff. Dignitaries present at the event commended the Chief of Army Staff and his men for their creative powers that gave birth to the local manufacturing of the important military hardwares.

Meanwhile, special guests at the occasion described the locally manufactured military hardwares as a pointer to a fact of the conscious efforts being made by the Chief of Army Staff to further degrade Boko Haram insurgency in the North East and to ensure general improvement in security situation of the country.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye said he was very impressed with the achievement of the Army in view of the manufactured hardwares. He also commended efforts of the officers that manufactured the machines and therefore urged that budgetary allocations for the Army should be increased substantially
in the best security interest of the nation.
