The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Army, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye has called for an improved welfare for men and officers of Nigerian Armed Forces.
Adefisoye made this advocacy in his Armed Forces Remembrance Day message that was signed on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Oluyemi Fasipe. He stated in the statement that the supreme price paid by the nation’s fallen heroes should not be allowed by those in position of authority to be in vain.
Adefisoye also emphasized the need to always appreciate men and officers of Nigerian Armed Forces for always daring to put their lives on the line to ensure peace and protect territorial integrity of the country. He added that this huge risk should translate to a better welfare package for those that are still at the battle fronts, while an improved insurance policies should be put in place for those that have paid the ultimate price for the sake of Nigeria nation.
The House member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency also posited that he and his colleagues at the lower legislative chamber have resolved to maximally deploy legislative instrumentality available to them to progressively push for improved funding of the Nigerian Armed Forces. He also assures that memories of the fallen heroes will be well preserved while the welfare of those that are still at the battle front will be given priority attention.
He however, appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Burutai for his exemplary and innovative leadership styles that have been the reason for steady improvement in the morale of men and officers of Nigerian Army.
